I was able to film my mother as she recited one her beautiful poems. I wanted the short project to be a document of her work and it all came together so nicely. Channeling my art and creativity into the ones who are close to me is so satisfying. Excited for more collabs!

It’s been a busy summer, at work and in my studio. I recently completed a new series based on old letters from my Mom, collaged onto pieces of wood given to me by my Dad. The art feels expressive and biographical, and really came from a place of self-reflection. When you are up close to the piece, you can see that most of the letters date back to 1996, the year I officially left home. My Mother was processing her new life without her son around, and these pieces commemorate that moment.
This was so fun to do! Here is a video I produced for a wonderful couple on their wedding day. Stephanie and Justin were a pleasure to work with, and I’m so happy with the end result (and so were they!). I shot and edited the entire project with my ever reliable Canon 7D.
I shot this wedding video this past summer, and it turned out so beautifully. The weather was perfect and the couple was so gracious, it really was an awesome day to be a part of. The music in the video is an original piece composed and performed by the groom, and the video was shot with my ever handy Canon 7D and edited by myself.
This summer I purchased an “Opteka SteadyVid SV-HD Camera Stabilizer” http://amzn.com/B00DRGQETA I decided to try it out when we went raspberry picking at the Mayfair Farms, and I like the end result. The stabilizer can be a bit tricky when you first set it up, but once you get it balanced it works well, and you can get some nice smooth shots.
